The artifact page displays a hex dump instead of a diff if the file is binary and not an image. Especially for large binary files this is IMHO not only useless but also resource and time consuming. 

I'd really appreciate a possibility to switch off this behaviour and to display a short message that it is a binary file.

Because presenting a solution is better than moaning, I have attached patch.
