Title: Support in timeline for jumping to specific point in time
Status: Open Type: Feature_Request
Severity: Important Priority:
Subsystem: Resolution: Open
Last Modified: 2010-11-01 23:32:44
Version Found In: f89d953a06
Description & Comments:
The timeline should make it easier to move to old versions by allowing it to enter the date directly. On old repositories with years of history and more than a few thousand commits, it is currently very hard to browse back other than editing the URL directly.

You can, if you want, go up to the URL bar and append

?c=1970-01-01

(or some other date) to the end of the URL, if you like. That is what I normally do. I will admit that this is not as nice as having any entry box, but I'm still struggling to figure out where to put that entry box (without unnecessarily cluttering the screen).

I would say next to "Wiki Only" in #submenu, e.g. something like:

200 Entries | Newer | Older | Before: <...> <Load>

or maybe even combine it with Older by filling the data in:

200 Entries | Newer | Older: <...> <Load>
